How to Play Lazer.gg

Move mirrors. Fire lasers. Destroy the enemy core.

Objective

  • Destroy the opponent Core to win.
  • Protect your own Core.
  • If your laser hits your own Core, you lose.

Fire

Each turn, optionally move or rotate one piece. Then fire your laser, and repeat. Until yours or your opponents core is destroyed.

Pieces

Core

  • Fires the laser.
  • Must be protected.

Mirror

  • Reflects lasers from angled faces.
  • Destroyed when hit on a flat side.

Phase Gate

  • Makes the laser skip the next tile.
  • Creates surprise angles.

Laser Rules

Enemy Core Hit

A beam that reaches the opposing Core wins.

Mirror Reflection

Angled mirror faces bend the laser path.

Flat-Side Hit

A flat-side mirror hit destroys the mirror.

Phase Gate Skip

The beam jumps over the next tile after a gate.

  • Lasers travel in straight lines.
  • Mirrors redirect beams.
  • Flat-side mirror hits destroy mirrors.
  • Phase Gates skip one tile.
  • Lasers can hit either Core.
  • Hitting your own Core loses.

Timers are only used for PvP. 5+3 means 5 minutes, plus 3 seconds added after each turn.

Public Room

Create an open casual room in the lobby.

Vs Computer

Practice attacks and defenses against the computer.

Local Game

Play two players on one screen.

Beginner Strategy

  • Check for self-hit lines before firing.
  • Protect your Core before chasing attacks.
  • Look for mirror chains.
  • Use Phase Gates for surprise attacks.
  • Sometimes destroying a mirror is better than attacking.
  • Do not move a piece just because you can.
